[Trenton] — Chairman of the New Jersey Democratic State Committee John Currie reacted to news reports that the U.S. Department of Justice recognized the shortcomings of its case against New Jersey’s senior U.S. Senator Robert Menendez, and is dismissing the charges.

“Bob Menendez is a dedicated and diligent public servant, deserving of our respect and appreciation. I admire his strength and determination, and his ability to weather the slings and arrows that were directed at him over the last few years while always putting New Jersey first. I confident that this news will clear the way to Senator Menendez again fighting for us — and against Donald Trump’s failed policies — in Washington next year.”
