Christie’s problem with Independents
--June 29, 2011--
Chris Christie's poll ratings continue to drop and the latest bad news comes courtesy of a Bloomberg poll:
The governor was viewed unfavorably by 53 percent of those polled. The results were in line with recent surveys that showed growing disapproval of Christie. In the Bloomberg poll, 45 percent said their view of him has worsened since he took office in January 2010. Just 25 percent said their opinion of him has improved, while 29 percent said it hasn’t changed.New Jersey Newsroom summarized how people reacted to the actions and policies of their Governor:
Residents disapproved of the governor’s positions on a host of issues including cancelling the commuter rail tunnel to New York City, not extending a surcharge on the state’s highest earning taxpayers, and the deep cuts he’s made in education spending. The overall gist of the poll is that people feel Christie has been too extreme in his budget cutbacks, and they don’t want that. But pollster Patrick Murray pointed to Christie's real problem with his recent numbers:
But the bottom line is that Christie’s job approval has been wavering – in spite of Piers Morgan’s claims* to the contrary during his obsequious CNN interview – and independents hold the key. From his policies to his style, the bottom line is the more people see of Chris Christie, the less they like.

“Governor Christie is having a big problem with women”
--June 21, 2011--
Quinnipiac is out with new polling today that shows the Governor has reached a new low and he can thank women:
The disapproval of Christie by women has given him the lowest job rating ever among New Jerseyans at 44 percent to 47 percent, according to a Quinnipiac university poll made public Tuesday. But he‘s still doing better than most governors in other states surveyed by Quinnipiac.Quinnipiac Poll Director Maurice Carroll said this about the poll:Women disapprove of the job Christie is doing 54 percent to 36 percent, while men approve 53 percent to 39 percent, a 17-point gender gap, the poll finds.
“Gov. Christie is having a big problem with women."Maybe women don't like a Governor that says to take the bat out, calls women jerks, tells them their questions are none of their business and accuses them of murder. You can see this video recapping some of the Governor's verbal assault on women where we ask Hey Gov, What is it with women?
