NJDSC 3rd Annual Women’s Equality Event

Over 90 people attended the New Jersey Democratic State Committee's 3rd Annual Women's Equality Event in Montclair. Chairman Wisniewski, Congressman Pallone and Congressman Holt joined special guest Congresswoman Allyson Schwartz and honorees included County Chairs Charlotte DeFilippo, Liz Muoio, Peg Schaffer and Lois Zarish.

“Today we celebrate the 91st anniversary of the 19th amendment that gave women the right to vote. The lessons of history are unfortunately too easily forgotten. The struggle for equality did not end 91 years ago, but continues on to this day. Women are not only entitled to the right to vote, but equal pay for equal work and to be treated with dignity and respect. It is a struggle we all need to associate ourselves with and work for its success.”Here are more photos from the event:
