COUNTY PARTY CHAIR
Atlantic County
Chairman Pat D'Arcy
Patrick D’Arcy received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Montclair State College in 1985 and earned his Juris Doctorate from Loyola University School of Law in 1988. While earning his law degree, Patrick worked with the United States Army Corps of Engineers in Manhattan, New York, and upon graduation from law school, he joined the law firm of Goldsmith & Weiss in Northfield, New Jersey. Within three years, Patrick quickly earned a position as a partner in the firm, handling personal injury, nursing home abuse, and medical malpractice litigation.
In 1998, Patrick left the Goldsmith firm and opened the D’Arcy Law Firm, P.C., with offices in Galloway and Toms River, New Jersey.
On St. Patrick’s Day, 2000, Patrick was proud to welcome his brother, Andrew, to the firm. Then, in 2007, Patrick joined forces with his good friend and reputable trial attorney, Steven Johnson, to form the firm that is now known as D’Arcy Johnson Day, P.C.
During his career, Patrick has focused his practice on serious claims of personal injury, nursing home abuse and medical malpractice. He has litigated well over 1,000 cases to completion, including numerous civil and highly publicized jury trials. Patrick is Certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Civil Trial Attorney, a distinction held by less than 2 percent of New Jersey attorneys. He is also widely recognized in the area’s legal community as both a leader and powerful trial attorney.
A public speaker on numerous issues related to medical malpractice and nursing home abuse litigation, Patrick is admitted to practice in the State of New Jersey, as well as in the United States District Court of New Jersey and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals.
Patrick is a Past President of the Atlantic County Bar Association, a member of the Ocean County Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, and the New Jersey State Bar Association.
The current Chairman of the Atlantic County Democratic Party, Patrick has served on the Galloway Business Development Board, the Galloway Recreation Board and also served as Prosecutor for Galloway Township.
