Chairman Victor Scudiery

Victor V. Scudiery, Community Leader, Philanthropist, Producer, Businessman and Loving Father. He has dedicated himself to making our world a better and more endowed place in which to live. The many honors bestowed on him by the community attest to this fact.

Mr. Scudiery, born and raised in Newark, NJ, received a degree in Business Administration from Seton Hal University in South Orange New Jersey. After college he served his country with two years Active Duty Military Service and four years Reserve Duty. After his discharge from the Army, Mr. Scudiery embarked upon his business career. While working with his brother in the wholesale electronics business he had the foresight to recognize the potential growth of Monmouth County.

In 1968 Interstate Electronics, Inc. opened its doors for business, with Victor at the helm. That was the start of great things to come.

Interstate Electronics, Inc. was the base from which Victor would build other successful business enterprises including the Airport Plaza Shopping Center, a record company that developed the Dancercise Series; a record album, which was the forerunner to the exercising to music craze, and a series of children’s albums and coloring books, and a commemorative album to Pope John Paul II sanctioned by the Vatican, which has been sold throughout the world. He has produced and directed weekly and special cable television programs. Published a pictorial essay of each Pope since Saint Peter, called “The Papal Review”. He is also the owner of a restaurant and marina located in Sea Bright, NJ.

His business dealings have earned him a well deserved reputation as a community leader. Despite the rigors of running his businesses, Victor has always found time to help those less fortunate than himself. He serves in many differing capacities in State, County and Local Community Affairs.

He has served under former Governor Brendon Byrne on the Ethic Advisory Council, as Co-Chairman of the Boy Scouts of Monmouth County, As Chairman of the Hazlet Economic Development Group, Co-Chairman of the Bayshore Economic Development Program, Technical Advisor at Kean College, as Associate Director of the United Jersey Bank and on the Brookdale College Learning Center Advisory Board.

Currently he sits on the Boards of the Bayshore Community Hospital Board of Trustees and is Chairman of the Bayshore Senior Health, Education and Recreation Center Board of Directors, the Bayshore Hospital Health Care Center and the Buck Smith Scholarship Award Foundation. In 1989 Victor was elected Chairman of the Monmouth County Democratic Party, a position he still holds today.

Vic, a proud father, spends much of his leisure time with his daughter Viki, a model who resides in New York.
